Scott Stapp is a singer known for living six feet from the edge: throughout his career with Creed, the frontman experienced public battles with drugs, alcohol and suicide. This fall, Stapp will tell all with his memoir Sinner's Creed, due out on Oct. 2.

The book, co-authored by Rolling Stone's David Ritz (who has penned biographies on Janet Jackson and Marvin Gaye), will detail the singer's struggles with fame, sex, alcohol, drugs and depression. The "uncensored" tell-all will also highlight Stapp's redemption, as he is now sober, reconnected with his band and fans and renewed in his faith.

"The book describes my childhood, my internal battles with drugs and depression and how I lost control of my life," Stapp said in a statement. "My memoir reveals never before released details about my life and the challenges I've faced before coming to grips and finding sobriety."

Sinner's Creed will be available in hardback and as an e-book. Creed is currently on tour, and heads next to Amarillo, Tex. on Tuesday night.
