Creed, headlining Tuesday (Aug. 10), is one of the most successful rock bands of the past decade. Since their formation, Creed has sold close to 35 million albums and millions of concert tickets. The songwriting team of Scott Stapp and Mark Tremonti is considered one of the most prolific in rock history. Their new CD Full Circle, debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart last fall. Special guests of Creed will be Skillet, a hard rock outfit breaking from the Christian rock circuit to the secular music world in a major way. The Florida band’s latest album, Awake, debuted at No. 2 in Billboard chart last summer, spawning major radio hits in “Monster” and “Hero,” while World Wrestling Entertainment used both songs in promoting a variety of events. Tallahassee rock band Creed sold an estimated 35 million records worldwide in the late '90s and early 2000s, and then disbanded in 2004.
Members got back together in 2009 to release a new album and go on tour. That tours stops in St. Augustine on May 20 at the Amphitheatre....
