Jesus Joshua 24:15
Scott - Remember your roots and your beginning. How you were helped. Maybe you will read this. Maybe you will hear of us. Jesus Joshua 24:15 needs a break and would love to open sometime. Just a thought.

Hi Karyn,
I was actually referring to the band's original break and discovery but I have heard of these denials of which you speak although I never saw the interviews etc. and while I do not make excuses for anyone I do wonder if this scripture could apply to his reasoning for his actions if he said one thing and then later denied it.
M't:10:16: Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Maybe he believes that for the greater good of the message going out that he can find forgiveness for his denial, as Peter did. I mean I don't know if that would be adviseable and I am not saying that it is okay but I can see how someone might reason that out in their own mind. Kind of like how those reporters who were held hostage in Iraq gave lip service and "renounced their faith" in an act of self-preservation to the terrorists to spare their own lives. The early Christians saw fit to surrender their lives rather than renounce their faith in the face of Roman persecution and one day they will be avenged. It seems very dangerous territory to risk Jesus denying us before the Father because we denied Him before men though. Selah

I was beginning to think I was the only one who felt this way. I saw an interview with Scott years ago where he talked about being down in his life and how he found his way back to go hence "My Sacrifice". I would not have believed that he wrote the song about his relationship with God except I heard SCOTT say it. I hope you read these blogs Scott and remember that God put you were you are. I saw some more recent interviews in which you DENIED that you wrote those songs about Him. Why???
