I had the honor of winning a M&G for the show in NH on 8/20 that I attended and let me just say OMGOODNESS! It goes so fast and it is totally different when you are standing in front of them all looking them in the eyes!! I thought about what I wanted to say all week and the night before I could not sleep due to this as well. When the time came I was so nervous and starstruck and I know how nice and easy going they all are but I could not fight my nerves! I said Hello to Brian while shaking his hand and introduced myself, where he was first in line and told him that is was so good to see him again!! Then Erock was next and I shook his hand, introduced myself and said it was nice meeting him and it was so nice to have him in the band! Then Flip was next and when I went to shake his hand he said, Hey, How's it going? Totally threw me off, was not expecting him to say something to me first! I said Good thanks! At that moment Stapp was extending his hand to shake mine and I was drawn in and said to myself Wait! I turned back to Flip and said, Oh I'm Melissa by the way and turned back to Stapp and said Sorry, I'm so nervous I hope I don't pass out! They all laughed and said It's ok! Then Mark was going to shake my hand and all I could say to him was Hi! I could not believe it!! The one person I wanted to say the most to I said the least! LOL! =) Oh well, it all happens so fast and I'm sure they get that alot. This is something that takes practice, I guess. For me anyway. I think if I was able to do it again I may be a little more relaxed, I think. Anyway, good luck with your M&G and tell us all how it goes for you!! Enjoy and have fun!! =) P.S.
