Scott, I just want to thank you for the beautiful, fresh transformation of Broken. That song has always been so special, but from the moment I first listened yesterday, hearing the beautiful piano, the emotion and conviction in your voice-- I felt as though I was hearing the song the way you intended to song to be from the beginning! I started speaking "my Lord, my Lord” with no provocation as you came to the second chorus, and realized that that was one of the differences. Now, instead of the song being about you, and about us all being broken, it speaks to how He, Jesus, was broken, too, and does feel our every pain when we are broken and used, scared and confused, he knows our every fear and doubt-- and he loves you and every one of us through every moment of all of it, and brings us through if we surrender, lean, and lay it all out for Him. Your gifts peeled such deep layers through every line, and every note! I even love the MASE part—it fits perfectly, I think, and I confess, I do not own a single rap/hip-hop piece of music!

You gave such a beautiful, perfect gift for this season of remembrance of Christ and his ultimate gift! You are beyond generous, and such an open, authentic, real, and willing channel to let God work for your gifts. I would have been delighted to pay for that amazing song—I love to show support in real ways. I spent hours in that music through the night. My body wages a battle for me every day, but thanks to God, you, and your giving spirit—I can live beyond and above, in a better place. Thank you so much!
