Typical for me, I am struggling with whether this is a more “Scott” collection of thoughts or one on just faith —Scott and faith are such powerful forces for strength, comfort, and hope in my life, and in many ways, at times inseparable for me.

I listened again in the early morning hours to the KISW interview, and the other recent one, and words leave me for just how powerful they are….I simply say to Scott, YOU ARE A TREASURE! Never doubt that for a single second, and never spend a moment in regret, because all that you have come through, every fall, has brought you to knowing real faith, real love, and real forgiveness, and the way you boundlessly open your heart, share, listen, and care is beyond amazing! You not only reach us, like me, who love you, you reach blasé radio DJs, who are hurting, too! How many frontmen in Rock can say that? God knew you by name, Scott, before you were even near to becoming a human thought, and I thank God for how you are so open and willing to be a channel of blessing! Like you, I deal with many generational curses—and they are so hard to break! I dedicated my working years to developing and giving children and youth validation and hope. I was the first in my family to say “No more!” standing in faith. I have not won the battle, but I will never give up the fight!

Around the time of POTC, I know Scott must have felt rejection as he earnestly stepped out in faith to new audiences, new music. I felt for him, too, because his issue and his calling are the same-- and not shared by anyone—he is totally valid in both realms, and many people just can't, or won't, accept that. (Too bad, because every powerful person in Scripture had that same validity!) God knew there were still valleys and desperate moments awaiting, He never takes our choices from us! GOD had a BIGGER, BETTER plan for you, Scott, as He does for all of us!! You reach more people through your life, your music, your PASSION doing just what you are doing and HOW you are doing it than you could EVER know! Seeing you all together, jamming and glowing, is such a present for all of us! To hear your description of how RAIN drew you and Mark closer, to see the kind of husband and father you have become….just makes me soar!

You make this world better, Scott! God and you save me big $$$$, too! Blessings!
